The Tropical Friends collection began as a small, personal project — I originally painted these whimsical, realistic sea creatures and birds for holiday cards to share with friends and family. But living in Florida and spending time near the coast, I realized these subjects are more than seasonal for me.

I’ve always loved the beach, sea life, and coastal birds, and this collection grew from that joy. Each original piece was painted in soft watercolor washes to capture a light, cheerful, and calming tropical feel — the kind that makes you think of ocean air, warm sunshine, and slow, happy moments by the water.
